Impatient Is My Middle Name

Buying a digital SLR is a big deal. Its a lot of cashola. So I knew I needed to spend a good amount of time debating on if it was REALLY worth it.

It took me ONE DAY.

I chalked it up, and it was delivered to me 30 minutes before we left for a camping trip with my BF's family. I got to play with it ALL WEEKEND, and was being a total nerd about it, and they made me put it away and drink beer. :)

But really. You just can't get depth of field like this with my stupid point and shoot that I use to take drunk pictures of boys hammered in a taxi cab:

Nice, boys. Real nice. I ate the rest of that dudes burrito, btw. Mmm! Thank you Nancy's Fancy's! OK, anyway. I'm getting off track.

Camping was rad. My BF bought his 6 year old nephew a Transformers fishing rod, and taught him how to fish. He caught THREE fish, and was VERY into it. We let them all go, of course, cuz I am a pussy and can't kill shit. But if someone else does, I will eat it up! Mmmm!

Absolutely gorgeous. This is a picture of Cottonwood Lake up above Buena Vista.

Always a great time seeing this kid. His mom was telling a friend today that they were coming to Denver for a 'killer party' that me and my BF are throwing. Overhearing this, this kid says to his mom, "Mom, why does Uncle want to kill somebody?"

He didn't want to go after that. :)
