We're Engaged!

The way it happened was literally right out of a movie.

So the big family trip to Disney World was planned back in January. I have TONS of pics and stories that I will put together in a blog later on, but I had to spill the beans first.

When we were in Florida for our Disney vacation, we took a day and went to Clearwater Beach on the gulf side. The weather was AMAZING (no hurricanes - yay!).

After playing in the water all day and stuffing out faces at a local sandwich place called Frenchies (get the grouper sandwich, dude), we went to sit on the soft, white sand and watch the sun sink right down into the ocean. I am not poetic enough to describe how amazingly beautiful it was, so see picture below. We even got to see the silhouette of dolphin fins breaching the waves. And right then, when I lost myself in the whole immensity of the thing, he pulled the ring from his pocket..

I told my dad that I yelled "HELL NO!" and kicked sand in his face, but I didn't - I, of course, said yes.

I am happy to announce that we are going to elope somewhere beautiful and sacred, and tie the knot.
